Soldiers with gas masks and machine guns fire at and kill one another on a misty plain of rubble and dirt. From out of the mist, the Doctor waves his hands, snapping at the Time Lords for intercepting a transmat beam, something very dangerous. A Time Lord in black hood and cloak appears as the Doctor rants about the Time Lord’s continual interference in his life. The Time Lord tells the Doctor that their people have interrupted transmat beams for a long time, a simple thing for their race. The Time Lord tells the Doctor they have something for him to do for them. The Doctor won’t hear of it until the Time Lord snaps one word, “Daleks.” The Doctor then says, “Tell me more.” The Time Lords foresee a time when Daleks become the dominant creatures in the universe. They want the Doctor to avert their creation or affect their genetic development so that they become less aggressive creatures or if he cannot, to find one inherent weakness. The Doctor tells him one more time he will do their dirty work. He asks for the coordinates to Skaro so he can set the TARDIS to it but the Time Lord tells him, “This is Skaro.” He gives the Doctor a time ring so that when his mission is finished, he can return to the TARDIS. When the Doctor looks up, the Time Lord has vanished, leaving the Doctor to yell, “Don’t just disappear! What about Sarah and Harry?”

Character Options, which recently renewed its license with the BBC to produce action figures and related merchandise for Doctor Who and its spin-offs, will be launching a new line of “mini” figures in March, according to Action Figure.

The new line, called “Time Squad”, features cartoon-like sculptures of characters from the first four seasons of the relaunched Doctor Who.

The new figures will be available in both 2- and 5-pack sets.

This 5″ action figure was previously only available in The Stolen Earth gift set, now available to purchase seperately. It also comes in a remote control, speaking version although costs slightly more. The detailing is superb and Character, the manufacturers, have really improved the accuracy of the model sculpting in their Season 4 action figure sets.

At the beginning of the episode—which immediately follows the episode “Turn Left”—the Earth is teleported out of its spatial location shortly after the Doctor and his companion Donna Noble arrive to investigate Rose Tyler’s warning. The Doctor contacts the Shadow Proclamation, a universal police force, to find Earth. They determine that twenty-seven missing planets—including Earth, Adipose III, Pyrovillia, the Lost Moon of Poosh—reorganise when placed near each other. Donna mentions the disappearance of bees on contemporary Earth; this allows the Doctor to trace the planets to the Medusa Cascade, an interuniversal rift.

davros

Davros first appeared in the 1975 serial Genesis of the Daleks, written by Terry Nation. Nation, creator of the Dalek concept, had deliberately modeled elements of the Daleks’ character on Nazi ideology, and conceived of their creator as a scientist with strong fascist tendencies.[1] The physical appearance of Davros was developed by visual effects designer Peter Day and sculptor John Friedlander, who based Davros’ chariot on the lower half of a Dalek.[2] Producer Philip Hinchcliffe told Friedlander to consider a design similar to The Mekon from the Eagle comic Dan Dare, with a large dome-like head and a withered body.[3]
